Margo Chase - musical designer

Next designer, we talked about, is Margo Chase. This amazing woman starts her career as an musician. After that she became designer in music area and had this specialization for more than 10 years. Now her design agency Chase Design Group LA does lots of design directions. It’s branding, identity, packaging, advertizing, typography and etch.

I was impressed in her energy and passion she talks about her work. She has a big library of rare design books and finding an inspiration in it. She has a lot of sketch books were she gets new ideas. Margo opens my eyes with her consent that design is for one particular person and need to know this person well. 

Inspirational lesson

At the lesson we watched videos from Lynda.com about world famous designers.

Kit Hinrichs use to be a partner in the legendary design firm Pentagram. Its pleasure to see, how a person with his experience and background reinventing himself again and again. And how he is inspired with his job.

Tittle case – design agency, which were founded by two letterers - Jessica Hische and Erik Marinocich. I was really impressed with the way they see letters and the freedom they get with it.

I had a great time by watching these videos and get a lot of new ideas.
